Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer join our team! The successful candidate will work closely with federal staff, providing management, engineering, and technical services to support a comprehensive transition of client networks and applications from IPv4 to IPv6.

 

This position is fully remote. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, computing equipment, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust and EOD.
  • Experience designing, developing, and executing automated workflows for networking deployments.
