Transportation Specialist

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Transportation Specialist (Functional – IBS) to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. This role serves as a functional subject matter expert (SME) with hands-on transportation and IBS experience, ensuring system capabilities align with real-world operational needs.

The Transportation Specialist collaborates with customers, developers, and testers to translate field-based transportation workflows into system requirements, validate functionality, and improve user experience. The ideal candidate brings operational IBS experience and can effectively support system development in an Agile environment.

• Serve as a functional SME for IBS transportation processes, including booking, rating, routing, and shipment management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements and workflows
• Translate operational needs into user stories and functional specifications
• Troubleshoot IBS-related functional issues and support Help Desk activities
• Conduct functional and integration testing to validate system updates
• Develop test scenarios and Test Recommendation Documents
• Deliver demonstrations and briefings to stakeholders
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Identify gaps between system functionality and operational use and recommend improvements
• Support developers and testers during defect resolution

• Active Secret Clearance
• 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight operations
• Hands-on experience using IBS or similar systems in an operational environment
• Familiarity with DoD transportation processes
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience supporting USTRANSCOM or IBS in a field role
• Understanding of transportation financial processes (rating, billing, reconciliation)
• Familiarity with EDI/XML transactions
• Experience supporting testing or UAT
• Experience in Agile environments
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
