Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Platform Strategist (Journeyman) to support Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) Special Projects under the MODES III contract. This role serves as a technical and strategic lead for initiatives involving new, emerging, or non standard platforms that support MC&FP outreach, engagement, and digital service delivery objectives. 

The Platform Strategist evaluates platform fit, scalability, accessibility, cybersecurity implications, and integration requirements. This position designs pilot approaches, supports rapid project onboarding, and ensures platforms can be operationalized, governed, and measured within MC&FP enterprise and compliance constraints. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Platform Strategist (Journeyman) will: 

  • Serve as technical and strategic lead for Special Projects involving new, emerging, or non standard digital platforms. 
  • Evaluate platform suitability based on mission alignment, scalability, accessibility, and user needs. 
  • Assess cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance considerations in coordination with IT and security stakeholders. 
  • Analyze integration requirements with existing MC&FP systems, tools, and workflows. 
  • Design pilot and proof of concept approaches to validate platform feasibility and value. 
  • Support rapid onboarding and operationalization of approved platforms. 
  • Develop governance, usage, and measurement approaches for new platforms. 
  • Identify platform risks, limitations, and mitigation strategies. 
  • Collaborate with outreach, communications, UX, analytics, and IT teams to ensure alignment. 
  • Support development of platform evaluation reports, recommendations, and briefings. 
  • Track platform performance and adoption metrics following deployment. 
  • Support continuous improvement of platform evaluation and onboarding processes. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust from any federal agency. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Digital Strategy, Computer Science, Communications Technology, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience evaluating, implementing, or managing digital platforms. 
  • Experience supporting pilots, proofs of concept, or special projects involving emerging technologies. 
  • Experience assessing platform scalability, integration, and operational readiness. 
  • Experience supporting federal or public-sector digital initiatives preferred. 

 

Technical Knowledge 

Required: 

  • Experience evaluating digital platforms and technologies. 
  • Understanding of accessibility, cybersecurity, and governance considerations. 
  • Ability to assess technical integration and operational requirements. 
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills. 

Preferred: 

  • Familiarity with cloud based platforms and digital ecosystems. 
  • Experience supporting rapid experimentation or innovation initiatives. 
  • Exposure to federal or DoD digital compliance environments. 

 

Certifications 

Required: 

  • None 

Preferred: 

  • Certifications in digital strategy, technology management, or systems analysis 

 

Skills 

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills. 
  • Ability to evaluate risk, feasibility, and value of emerging platforms. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 
  • Ability to translate technical findings into executive level recommendations. 
  • Strong collaboration skills across technical and non technical teams. 
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and rapidly evolving requirements.
