Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Live & Virtual Events Producer to oversee the full lifecycle of high-visibility MC&FP events, including planning, production, logistics, technical execution, and post-event optimization. This role leads end-to-end coordination for webinars, virtual engagements, hybrid events, town halls, leadership communications, and large-scale live productions. 

The Live & Virtual Events Producer ensures events run smoothly, meet strategic communication goals, incorporate enterprise branding, and provide an exceptional experience for internal and external audiences. This role regularly collaborates with communications teams, technical support, leadership, and stakeholders across the organization. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Live & Virtual Events Producer will: 

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of MC&FP live, virtual, and hybrid events from concept through post-production. 
  • Oversee logistics including run-of-show development, speaker coordination, rehearsals, scheduling, and communications. 
  • Manage technical setup for virtual events including platforms, audio/visual logistics, streaming, chat moderation, and recording. 
  • Coordinate with creative and communications teams to design event branding, slides, scripts, talking points, and promotional assets. 
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and technical checks with presenters, leadership, and support teams. 
  • Serve as live-event technical director during broadcasts, ensuring smooth transitions, timing, troubleshooting, and audience experience. 
  • Manage vendor coordination for production support, equipment, and venue logistics as necessary. 
  • Collect and analyze event performance metrics including attendance, engagement, and feedback. 
  • Provide post-event reports, insights, recommendations, and edited recordings for archival or distribution. 
  • Maintain event documentation, SOPs, templates, and governance standards. 
  • Support crisis or rapid response event activation during time-sensitive situations. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience producing professional live, virtual, or hybrid events. 
  • Experience leading complex event logistics, technical operations, and multi-stakeholder coordination. 
  • Experience managing run-of-show workflows, rehearsals, scripts, and presenter readiness. 
  • Experience operating or directing technical platforms such as ZoomGov, Teams, WebEx, or specialized broadcast tools. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Strong understanding of audio/visual equipment, streaming tools, and event production platforms. 
  • Knowledge of virtual event best practices, troubleshooting approaches, and user experience optimization. 
  • Familiarity with video production workflows and post-event editing processes. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience supporting events in federal, DoD, or large enterprise environments. 
  • Familiarity with accessibility requirements for virtual events, including captioning and 508 compliance. 

 

Skills 

  • Excellent organizational and logistics management skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with leadership and diverse stakeholder groups. 
  • Ability to manage stress, multitask, and problem solve during live event execution. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and coordination abilities. 
  • High proficiency in producing polished, professional, mission-aligned events.
