Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to support the organization and execution of outreach and engagement activities across a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role maintains the enterprise Engagement Directory, updates the Master Calendar of events, tracks emerging engagement opportunities, and coordinates speakers and monthly updates for leadership and stakeholders. 

The coordinator will play a key role in enabling consistent, organized, and effective outreach efforts by ensuring all engagement activities are documented, current, and aligned with program priorities. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Community Engagement Coordinator will: 

  • Maintain and update the enterprise Engagement Directory with current partners, contacts, and engagement touchpoints. 
  • Manage the Master Calendar of upcoming events, speaking opportunities, and outreach activities. 
  • Track community engagement opportunities and provide summaries or recommendations to leadership. 
  • Coordinate speakers for events, ensuring bios, materials, and logistics are prepared. 
  • Support monthly updates and reporting related to engagement trends, activities, and upcoming priorities. 
  • Develop engagement briefs, background packets, and pre-event informational materials. 
  • Collaborate with communications, outreach, and event teams to ensure alignment across engagement activities. 
  • Assist with event logistics, registrations, and content coordination when required. 
  • Ensure all engagement data is accurately recorded, up to date, and accessible to stakeholders. 
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the broader community engagement function. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

BA in Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Sociology, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting community engagement, outreach, marketing, public affairs, or event coordination. 
  • Experience maintaining schedules, coordinating stakeholders, or supporting outreach activities. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Familiarity with event management, outreach coordination, or engagement operations. 
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools, collaboration platforms, and document management systems. 
  • Ability to track and maintain structured engagement data. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience supporting communications or engagement programs in federal or DoD environments. 
  • Knowledge of stakeholder engagement principles or community outreach best practices. 

 

Skills 

  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Detail-oriented approach to maintaining directories and calendars. 
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders. 
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping capabilities.
