Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Storytelling & Multimedia Producer to develop compelling, human-centered multimedia content that elevates the voices and experiences of military families. This role creates narrative-driven products including short videos, audio stories, visual stories, interviews, and mixed-media features that support mission priorities across a large federal and DoD-aligned environment. 

The producer will work closely with communications, creative, and outreach teams to craft authentic, impactful stories that resonate with diverse audiences and reinforce program goals. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Storytelling & Multimedia Producer will: 

  • Produce narrative-driven multimedia content showcasing military family experiences, challenges, and successes. 
  • Conduct interviews, develop storyboards, write scripts, and manage pre-production planning. 
  • Capture and curate audio, video, and photography assets to support storytelling projects. 
  • Edit multimedia products including videos, audio stories, and visual packages. 
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and communications strategists to ensure cohesive messaging. 
  • Manage production schedules, filming logistics, and post-production workflows. 
  • Ensure all content meets accessibility requirements including Section 508 compliance. 
  • Oversee review cycles, approvals, and quality checks prior to publishing. 
  • Maintain organized content libraries, metadata, and asset management practices. 
  • Support rapid-turn content needs such as spotlight stories, testimonials, and social media narrative pieces. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

BA in Journalism, Film, Digital Media, Creative Writing, Communications, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience producing multimedia, documentary, or story-driven content. 
  • Demonstrated success creating emotionally resonant narratives. 
  • Experience managing end-to-end production workflows including scripting, filming, and editing. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Proficiency with video editing suites (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve). 
  • Experience with audio recording and editing tools. 
  • Strong understanding of narrative structure, interview techniques, and story design. 
  • Familiarity with accessibility requirements for multimedia content. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience producing content in federal, military, nonprofit, or human services environments. 
  • Knowledge of visual design principles and cross-platform storytelling techniques. 

 

Skills 

  • Exceptional storytelling, interviewing, and scriptwriting skills. 
  • Strong creative direction and production management abilities. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent production projects.
