Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Multimedia Designer / Video Editor to create dynamic short-form videos, motion graphics, thumbnails, and multimedia assets that support MC&FP’s digital communication priorities. This role produces visually compelling content for social media, websites, podcasts, and campaign initiatives, ensuring all multimedia products align with MC&FP branding and accessibility requirements. 

The Multimedia Designer / Video Editor collaborates closely with campaign managers, UX designers, content strategists, and creative leadership to deliver polished, engaging, and mission-aligned visual products. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Multimedia Designer / Video Editor will: 

  • Produce short-form video content optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and internal channels. 
  • Create graphic elements including thumbnails, lower thirds, overlays, title cards, and visual templates. 
  • Support podcast production through editing, cleanup, visual packaging, and publication tasks. 
  • Develop motion graphics and animated components for explainers, social clips, and campaign assets. 
  • Edit footage into polished final products including transitions, effects, sound adjustments, subtitles, and branding. 
  • Ensure all multimedia content adheres to MC&FP brand standards, accessibility requirements, and metadata rules. 
  • Collaborate with creative, campaign, UX, and content teams to support cross-platform storytelling. 
  • Maintain multimedia asset libraries, templates, and production files. 
  • Provide rapid content turnaround for campaigns, live events, and time-sensitive communications. 
  • Support quality reviews, versioning, and continuous improvement of multimedia workflows. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Art, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience producing multimedia content, including video editing and motion graphics. 
  • Experience delivering content tailored for social media platforms and digital-first environments. 
  • Experience editing podcasts, short-form videos, or mixed media productions. 
  • Experience collaborating with creative or communication teams. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). 
  • Experience editing, exporting, and optimizing video for web, mobile, and social platforms. 
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, animation basics, and multimedia storytelling. 
  • Familiarity with audio editing tools and techniques. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience supporting federal or DoD outreach, digital communications, or large-scale campaigns. 
  • Familiarity with accessibility requirements including captioning and audio/visual standards. 

 

Skills 

  • Strong creative and visual storytelling abilities. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and design consistency. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to rapidly produce content for high-tempo campaigns and events.
