Overview

DecisionPoint seeks an eNewsletter & ePublication Manager to lead the planning, production, and publication processes for multiple recurring digital communications supporting a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role manages the full workflow for six monthly newsletter editions, ensuring content accuracy, brand consistency, metadata alignment, and timely release through GovDelivery and associated publication platforms. 

The eNewsletter & ePublication Manager collaborates closely with content creators, designers, strategists, and program stakeholders to uphold editorial quality, accessibility compliance, and structured content governance. This role ensures that all digital publications effectively inform, engage, and support mission-driven communications objectives. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The eNewsletter & ePublication Manager will: 

  • Manage the full production lifecycle for six monthly eNewsletter editions. 
  • Oversee content intake, editing, approvals, formatting, and publication workflows in GovDelivery. 
  • Ensure all publications meet brand, editorial, accessibility (508/WCAG), and metadata standards. 
  • Maintain editorial calendars and coordinate with content strategists, writers, and program leads. 
  • Collaborate with designers to support layout consistency, visual engagement, and template enhancements. 
  • Track analytics, open rates, and engagement metrics; support optimization recommendations. 
  • Maintain content archives, version control, and structured content documentation. 
  • Troubleshoot publication issues in GovDelivery and coordinate with technical teams as needed. 
  • Support rapid-turn communications needs related to leadership announcements and priority initiatives. 
  • Ensure consistent taxonomy, tagging, and content categorization in all newsletters and publications. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing, English, Public Affairs, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in digital communications, newsletter production, or multi-channel publication management. 
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and multi-edition publication workflows. 
  • Experience with digital content systems (GovDelivery strongly preferred). 
  • Experience editing or refining digital communications for accuracy, clarity, and accessibility. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Knowledge of GovDelivery or similar enterprise digital communications platforms. 
  • Strong understanding of digital publishing workflows, newsletter formatting, and email communications best practices. 
  • Knowledge of accessibility (508/WCAG), plain language, and editorial style standards. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience in federal or DoD communications environments. 
  • Familiarity with structured content, metadata, and taxonomy management. 
  • Experience using analytics to guide newsletter optimization. 

 

Skills 

  • Excellent writing, editing, and content organization skills. 
  • Strong coordination skills across communications, design, and technical teams. 
  • High attention to detail for formatting, accuracy, and metadata governance. 
  • Ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines with consistency and precision. 
  • Strong problem-solving and workflow management abilities.
