Overview

DecisionPoint seeks an Email Campaign Specialist to develop visually engaging, personalized, and dynamic content for enterprise-level ePublications in support of a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role builds, formats, tests, and publishes high-quality email content that adheres to brand standards, accessibility requirements, and segmentation strategies. 

The Email Campaign Specialist collaborates with strategists, content creators, designers, and analytics teams to ensure email communications are accurate, engaging, and optimized for audience impact. This role supports recurring and ad-hoc ePublication releases across multiple programs. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Email Campaign Specialist will: 

  • Create visually compelling and user-friendly email layouts and ePublication templates. 
  • Build, test, and deliver emails using enterprise-grade communications platforms (e.g., GovDelivery). 
  • Implement personalization, segmentation, and dynamic content elements to improve engagement. 
  • Ensure all emails meet accessibility and Section 508/WCAG standards. 
  • Coordinate with writers, designers, and strategists on recurring and ad-hoc content updates. 
  • Execute A/B tests for layout, messaging, and subject lines; provide performance insights. 
  • Ensure metadata tagging, naming conventions, and taxonomy structure are consistently applied. 
  • Troubleshoot formatting and rendering issues across browsers, devices, and screen sizes. 
  • Support analytics integration and review open rates, click-through rates, and performance metrics. 
  • Maintain documentation, templates, and content archives following governance standards. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in email campaign production, digital content creation, or visual communications. 
  • Experience designing and formatting email templates or digital content. 
  • Experience supporting communications or marketing workflows in complex environments. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Familiarity with enterprise email platforms (GovDelivery preferred). 
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals for email rendering adjustments. 
  • Understanding of accessibility and 508/WCAG standards for digital content. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with email analytics and optimization techniques. 
  • Experience using design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Figma. 
  • Experience working in federal or DoD communications settings. 

 

Skills 

  • Strong eye for visual design, layout precision, and digital formatting. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate across creative, technical, and strategic teams. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in content presentation. 
  • Ability to meet recurring deadlines and support rapid-turn publishing needs.
