Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Front-End Developer to support UI enhancements, accessibility compliance improvements, formatting corrections, and content-related code updates for a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role is central to ensuring that digital properties remain user-friendly, visually consistent, accessible, and aligned with enterprise design and content standards. 

The Front-End Developer works closely with designers, content managers, UX specialists, and backend engineers to implement interface changes, optimize user experience, and contribute to structured, maintainable front-end code. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Front-End Developer will: 

  • Implement UI updates, CSS adjustments, and formatting refinements to improve user experience and consistency. 
  • Apply accessibility (508/WCAG) fixes including semantic markup, alt-text, keyboard navigation, and structural updates. 
  • Support content-driven code changes including template adjustments, layout updates, and component enhancements. 
  • Collaborate with UX, design, and content teams to translate requirements into responsive, standards-compliant front-end code. 
  • Conduct cross-browser testing and troubleshoot rendering inconsistencies. 
  • Optimize page performance, asset delivery, and front-end load times. 
  • Maintain reusable front-end components and support design system implementation. 
  • Perform code reviews and adhere to secure coding, documentation, and version control practices. 
  • Validate front-end changes in development, staging, and production environments. 
  • Ensure all updates follow enterprise brand, content, and accessibility guidelines. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related technical field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in front-end development. 
  • Experience implementing UI changes, style updates, and content-driven code modifications. 
  • Experience ensuring Section 508/WCAG accessibility compliance. 
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams including UX, design, and content roles. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design. 
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks or component libraries. 
  • Understanding of accessibility requirements (508/WCAG) and semantic coding. 
  • Experience with version control (Git) and structured front-end workflows. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with CMS-driven environments. 
  • Familiarity with federal or DoD digital environments. 
  • Experience with performance optimization tools or continuous integration workflows. 

 

Skills 

  • Strong attention to detail in UI, formatting, and accessibility. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. 
  • Ability to balance iterative fixes with long-term front-end improvements. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality updates under deadlines.
