Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Video Producer to manage the full lifecycle of video production supporting a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role oversees concept development, storyboarding, scripting, shooting, editing, and final delivery of high-quality video content that aligns with enterprise communications strategies. 

The Video Producer collaborates with the Art Director, creative teams, program stakeholders, and subject matter experts to create compelling visual narratives that enhance campaigns, leadership communications, training materials, and digital storytelling. This role requires strong creative direction, production expertise, and operational organization across multiple simultaneous projects. 

This position is fully remote, with potential travel for on-site production.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Video Producer will: 

  • Lead end-to-end production of video projects from concept through final delivery. 
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, production plans, and creative treatments aligned with mission messaging. 
  • Conduct filming, directing, and on-site coordination for events, interviews, and scripted content. 
  • Manage lighting, audio capture, set design, and production staging as needed. 
  • Perform editing, color correction, motion graphics integration, and sound design. 
  • Coordinate closely with the Art Director to ensure brand consistency and creative alignment. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and refine video deliverables. 
  • Maintain organized production files, naming conventions, and asset libraries. 
  • Oversee timelines, production schedules, resourcing, and deliverable quality control. 
  • Ensure all video content meets accessibility, 508 compliance, and technical standards. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in video production, direction, or multimedia storytelling. 
  • Experience managing full-cycle video projects, including scripting, filming, and editing. 
  • Experience coordinating with creative, communications, or public affairs teams. 
  • Experience producing content for digital, social, and enterprise communications platforms. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and related video editing tools. 
  • Experience operating professional cameras, lighting kits, stabilizers, and audio equipment. 
  • Strong understanding of video composition, motion design, transitions, and pacing. 
  • Ability to produce accessible and 508-compliant video outputs. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with animation or motion graphics workflows. 
  • Familiarity with federal or DoD communication programs. 
  • Experience integrating video with web, CMS, or multimedia platforms. 

 

Skills 

  • Strong creative direction, visual storytelling, and content planning abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent video projects under tight deadlines. 
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and quality control discipline. 
  • Ability to translate strategic messaging into engaging video formats.
