Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Research Manager to support enterprise research and analysis activities within a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role conducts segmentation analysis, behavioral research, and data-driven insight development to improve stakeholder engagement strategies and communications planning. 

The Research Manager uses analytics tools to uncover sentiment trends, identify stakeholder needs, analyze behavior patterns, and generate insights that inform strategic engagement activities. This role directly supports quarterly stakeholder affairs reporting and contributes to ongoing research and continuous improvement initiatives. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Research Manager will: 

  • Analyze stakeholder behavior, sentiment, needs, and engagement trends using quantitative and qualitative data. 
  • Conduct segmentation analysis to identify priority stakeholder groups and engagement opportunities. 
  • Develop research-backed recommendations that refine communication and engagement strategies. 
  • Support preparation of quarterly stakeholder affairs reports, including analysis, charts, and summary insights. 
  • Produce dashboards, reports, and visualizations highlighting key patterns and behavioral indicators. 
  • Maintain stakeholder datasets, metadata, and taxonomies to support consistent analytics outputs. 
  • Collaborate with communications, UX, outreach, and policy teams to align insights with enterprise priorities. 
  • Support research project planning, execution, and methodology selection. 
  • Ensure all research activities meet quality, accuracy, and accessibility requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance stakeholder understanding through new research approaches and tools. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Analytics, Behavioral Science, Sociology, Psychology, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting research, analytics, segmentation, or stakeholder behavior analysis. 
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative research methods to produce actionable insights. 
  • Experience supporting reporting cycles, data storytelling, or communication strategy development. 
  • Experience working with stakeholder, audience, or user research in federal, DoD, or enterprise environments (preferred). 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, GA4, social listening platforms). 
  • Knowledge of behavioral frameworks, audience segmentation, and sentiment analysis. 
  • Understanding of research methodology, qualitative coding, and data interpretation. 
  • Familiarity with metadata tagging, taxonomies, and research documentation workflows. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with journey mapping, persona development, or UX-driven research. 
  • Experience supporting multi-channel communications or stakeholder engagement. 

 

Certifications (Preferred) 

  • Analytics or research certifications 
  • ITIL v4 Foundation 
  • UX research or behavioral science certifications 

 

Skills 

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate findings into actionable insights. 
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple research activities in a fast-paced environment.
