Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Graphic Designer to develop high-quality visual communications in support of a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role produces infographics, campaign visuals, branding assets, illustrations, and animated explainer content aligned with enterprise brand guidelines and communication needs. 

The Graphic Designer collaborates closely with communications, UX, creative, and outreach teams to create visually compelling materials that enhance message clarity, user engagement, and mission impact. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer will: 

  • Create infographics, illustrations, branded visuals, and design elements for digital and print materials. 
  • Develop campaign visuals, event branding, and multimedia assets. 
  • Produce animated explainers, motion graphics, and visual storytelling components. 
  • Maintain consistency with enterprise brand identity, templates, and design systems. 
  • Collaborate with writers, strategists, UX designers, and data teams to translate concepts into clear visuals. 
  • Support layout design for reports, presentations, social media graphics, and digital content. 
  • Ensure all design outputs meet Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards. 
  • Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback while maintaining design quality. 
  • Maintain asset libraries, version control, and design documentation. 
  • Stay current on design trends, tools, and creative best practices. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Art, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design, visual communications, or multimedia design. 
  • Experience designing infographics, illustrations, branding assets, or campaign visuals. 
  • Experience producing visual content across digital and print formats. 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional creative and communications teams. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects). 
  • Understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy. 
  • Knowledge of accessibility requirements for digital content (508/WCAG). 
  • Familiarity with animation or motion graphics tools. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with design systems, component libraries, or enterprise branding. 
  • Experience with Figma or other collaborative design platforms. 

 

Certifications (Preferred) 

  • Graphic design, multimedia, or motion graphics certifications 
  • ITIL v4 Foundation 

 

Skills 

  • Strong creative and conceptual design abilities. 
  • Excellent visual storytelling and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, compelling visuals. 
  • Ability to manage multiple design tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
