Overview

DecisionPoint seeks an Audience Research Analysis Coordinator to support qualitative and quantitative research activities that inform enterprise-wide strategic communications and engagement initiatives for a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role assists in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing research findings related to audience needs, behaviors, preferences, and communication patterns. 

The Coordinator supports study design, research execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role contributes critical insights that improve message resonance, stakeholder engagement, and user-centered communications planning. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Audience Research Analysis Coordinator will: 

  • Assist in conducting user and audience research using interviews, surveys, focus groups, and observational methods. 
  • Help design qualitative and quantitative research studies to uncover audience behaviors, needs, and communication preferences. 
  • Support data collection, coding, and analysis to identify insights, trends, and pain points. 
  • Document findings in research summaries, briefs, and presentation materials. 
  • Contribute to segmentation analysis and behavioral insights that shape strategic communications. 
  • Support the creation of personas, journey maps, and behavioral profiles. 
  • Assist with research scheduling, participant coordination, and logistics planning. 
  • Maintain research repositories, documentation, and metadata for ongoing research efforts. 
  • Collaborate with communications, UX, policy, and outreach teams to ensure alignment with mission priorities. 
  • Ensure research outputs meet accuracy, accessibility, and quality standards. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Communications, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Marketing, Research Methods, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience assisting with audience research, user research, communications analysis, or related activities. 
  • Experience supporting qualitative and quantitative research activities. 
  • Experience gathering and synthesizing data into clear summary findings. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Basic knowledge of research methodologies (interviews, surveys, focus groups, usability studies). 
  • Familiarity with qualitative coding and entry-level quantitative analysis. 
  • Understanding of audience segmentation, behavioral insights, and communication analysis. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience using analytics or research tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SPSS, NVivo, Power BI). 
  • Experience supporting UX or digital engagement research. 

 

Certifications (Preferred) 

  • Research methods, analytics, or UX research certifications 
  • ITIL v4 Foundation 

 

Skills 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Good communication and documentation skills. 
  • Ability to support multiple research tasks simultaneously. 
  • Curiosity, analytical thinking, and willingness to learn advanced methodologies. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
