Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Data COE / Dashboard Lead to own the enterprise dashboard strategy and oversee the development, integration, governance, and quality of dashboards supporting a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role leads the Dashboard Center of Excellence (COE), integrates requirements from multiple task areas, and ensures adherence to the Dashboard Management Plan and approved specifications. 

The Data COE / Dashboard Lead is responsible for establishing standard data models, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, coordinating with technical and business stakeholders, and leading the continuous evolution of dashboarding capabilities across the program.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Data COE / Dashboard Lead will: 

  • Lead the enterprise dashboard strategy across the program’s mission areas. 
  • Own and maintain the Dashboard Management Plan, ensuring alignment with PMO and stakeholder expectations. 
  • Integrate dashboard requirements from Task 2 and Task 3 teams and translate them into actionable specifications. 
  • Establish and enforce dashboard design standards, templates, and data quality rules. 
  • Oversee data modeling, sourcing, and transformations to support accurate dashboard outputs. 
  • Collaborate with SMEs, analysts, and developers to ensure accurate KPIs, metrics, and visualizations. 
  • Validate dashboards for accuracy, completeness, usability, and adherence to enterprise standards. 
  • Manage dashboard release cycles, updates, and versioning. 
  • Ensure dashboards comply with accessibility, reporting, and federal data governance requirements. 
  • Provide executive-level summaries, insights, and recommendations based on dashboard analytics. 
  • Lead continuous improvement for dashboard tools, automation, and visualization techniques. 
  • Train team members and stakeholders on dashboard standards and tools. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Candidate must possess a Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or an active Secret clearance or higher. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data analytics, dashboard development, or business intelligence. 
  • Experience leading enterprise dashboard portfolios or a similar analytics COE function. 
  • Proven experience developing and enforcing dashboard standards, specifications, and quality controls. 
  • Experience coordinating requirements across multi-team federal or DoD programs. 
  • Experience delivering KPI-driven dashboards for technical, business, and executive consumption. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Proficiency with dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana. 
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and KPI frameworks. 
  • Familiarity with accessibility and usability standards for data visualization. 
  • Experience with SQL, data transformation scripts, and analytical processing. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, DevSecOps, or automated reporting pipelines. 
  • Experience with cloud-based data analytics platforms. 

 

Certifications 

Required: 

  • ITIL v4 Foundation 

Preferred: 

  • Data analytics or visualization certifications (Power BI, Tableau). 
  • PMP or Agile certifications. 

 

Skills 

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong visual communication and dashboard storytelling abilities. 
  • Effective leadership and cross-team coordination skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data governance. 
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear dashboard specifications.
