Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Administrator to build, automate, and support secure AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code. The role requires strong hands-on experience with ECS/ECR, EKS, Lambda, IAM, AWS CLI and scripting. Responsibilities include developing reusable infrastructure templates, supporting containerized applications, automating deployments, and troubleshooting cloud and application infrastructure issues. Experience in secure or DoD cloud environments is preferred, and Terraform knowledge is a plus.

These positions are fully remote. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily AWS CloudFormation templates.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain AWS services including ECS, EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and related cloud services.
  • Develop reusable and automated cloud infrastructure templates for application environments.
  • Support containerized applications running on Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS.
  • Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions and cloud automation scripts.
  • Automate deployments, configuration changes, and operational tasks using Python, Bash, AWS CLI, and/or PowerShell.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, application deployment, IAM, container, and automation issues.
  • Implement AWS security best practices, IAM roles/policies, logging, monitoring, and configuration standards.
  • Work closely with application, DevOps, security, and development teams to support cloud-based applications.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field. 
  • 6+ years of AWS cloud infrastructure or DevOps experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Strong experience with Amazon ECS and EKS.
  • Experience developing and supporting AWS Lambda functions.
  • Strong understanding of IAM roles, policies, permissions, and AWS security controls.
  • Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience using AWS CLI, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience troubleshooting AWS deployments, containers, CloudFormation stacks, and application infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Terraform is a plus.
  • Experience working in secure or DoD cloud environments is preferred
  • CompTIA Security+ or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification required.
