Overview

DecisionPoint seeks an E-EFMP Software Product Management Lead to guide product strategy, user-focused design, and technical delivery for enterprise applications supporting a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This senior role leads the full product lifecycle, including vision development, roadmap design, feature prioritization, and stakeholder engagement. 

The E-EFMP Software Product Management Lead works cross-functionally with engineering teams, UX specialists, cloud architects, cybersecurity teams, and mission stakeholders to deliver impactful, intuitive, secure, and scalable digital capabilities. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The E-EFMP Software Product Management Lead will: 

  • Develop and maintain the product vision, long-term roadmap, and release strategy. 
  • Lead user story refinement, backlog prioritization, and feature definition. 
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and cross-team solutioning sessions. 
  • Translate mission needs into actionable product requirements and acceptance criteria. 
  • Coordinate with engineering, UX, cloud, and cybersecurity teams for feature design and implementation. 
  • Evaluate user feedback, analytics data, and operational metrics to adjust product priorities. 
  • Ensure products align with secure development standards and DoD requirements. 
  • Provide executive-level product briefings, reports, and roadmap updates. 
  • Support sprint planning, Agile ceremonies, and release preparation activities. 
  • Maintain product documentation, feature catalogs, decision logs, and traceability artifacts. 
  • Promote human-centered design principles and iterative improvement. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software product management, product ownership, or technology leadership. 
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, feature strategies, and user-focused requirements. 
  • Experience leading Agile product teams within enterprise or federal environments. 
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives or mission-oriented software products. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery, backlog management, and sprint planning. 
  • Familiarity with end-to-end software development lifecycles. 
  • Working knowledge of ITIL practices supporting product operations. 
  • Understanding of secure software design principles and cybersecurity considerations for federal systems. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience using product and Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar. 
  • Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, cloud-native architectures, or enterprise service integrations. 
  • Experience applying human-centered design principles. 

 

Certifications 

Required: 

  • ITIL v4 Foundation 
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) 

Preferred: 

  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) 
  • Additional product management certifications 

 

Skills 

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to translate mission needs into technical requirements. 
  • Excellent prioritization and analytical abilities. 
  • Strong leadership skills for guiding cross-functional teams. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to user-centered design.
