Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Front-End Developer to design and implement modern, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for a large federal and DoD-aligned IT mission environment. This role builds reusable templates, UI components, interactive features, and front-end architectures that support enterprise content, applications, and mission-critical digital experiences. 

The Senior Front-End Developer collaborates closely with UX designers, backend engineers, product managers, and CMS administrators to ensure UI consistency, performance, accessibility, and secure integration with backend systems. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Front-End Developer will: 

  • Develop responsive, accessible, and performant pages, templates, components, and UI elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
  • Build reusable component libraries aligned with design system standards. 
  • Implement user interaction and dynamic behaviors through front-end scripting and frameworks. 
  • Ensure Section 508/WCAG accessibility compliance across all UI implementations. 
  • Collaborate with backend developers and CMS engineers on API integrations and data-driven UI elements. 
  • Optimize page load performance, rendering efficiency, and front-end asset usage. 
  • Troubleshoot UI issues across browsers, devices, and environments. 
  • Support code reviews, version control workflows, and best coding practices. 
  • Contribute to style guides, front-end documentation, and component usage standards. 
  • Work within Agile teams to deliver user stories, participate in sprints, and support deployment cycles. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation. 

 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in front-end development. 
  • Experience developing enterprise-grade UI components, user interfaces, or responsive sites. 
  • Experience working within Agile development teams and supporting iterative releases. 
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and performance optimization. 

 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Expert-level skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design. 
  • Experience developing and maintaining component libraries or design systems. 
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508). 
  • Understanding of API-driven UI development. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular). 
  • Experience integrating with CMS platforms or headless content systems. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices. 

 

Certifications 

Preferred: 

  • ITIL v4 Foundation 
  • Front-end or UX/UI development certifications 

 

Skills 

  • Strong UI/UX awareness and ability to translate design requirements into functioning interfaces. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accessible, user-centered design. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex UI issues and optimize front-end performance. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet sprint deadlines.
