Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a QA/508/Test Engineer to perform accessibility testing, functional testing, and regression validation for an enterprise Content Management System supporting a federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This role ensures that CMS releases, templates, workflows, and page rendering meet quality standards, accessibility requirements, and functional expectations across devices and user scenarios. 

The QA/508/Test Engineer contributes to release readiness by identifying defects, validating fixes, confirming compliance with WCAG/508 accessibility standards, and supporting continuous improvement of testing processes. 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The QA/508/Test Engineer will: 

  • Test CMS templates, modules, workflows, and pages to validate proper functionality and user experience. 
  • Conduct accessibility testing in alignment with WCAG and Section 508 compliance requirements. 
  • Execute regression testing for platform updates, deployments, and CMS releases. 
  • Validate page rendering, responsive behavior, and cross-browser performance. 
  • Document defects, test results, and root cause findings using enterprise test management tools. 
  • Develop, update, and maintain test plans, test scripts, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Work with developers and architects to verify fixes, retest issues, and support quality improvements. 
  • Perform structured testing of search functionality, user authentication flows, and content workflows. 
  • Support automated testing efforts where applicable. 
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness reviews. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Must hold an active Secret clearance. 

Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, QA/Testing, or a related technical field. 

Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, QA analysis, or accessibility testing. 
  • Experience testing CMS platforms, enterprise applications, or digital content systems. 
  • Experience conducting WCAG/508 compliance testing and using accessibility testing tools. 
  • Experience validating workflows, templates, rendering behavior, and complex user paths. 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Strong understanding of WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards. 
  • Experience with browser developer tools, accessibility scanners, and manual accessibility techniques. 
  • Proficiency with test case management tools, defect tracking systems, and regression testing approaches. 
  • Knowledge of cross-browser testing, responsive design validation, and UI behavior analysis. 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience with automated testing tools or scripting. 
  • Familiarity with CMS templating and content structures. 
  • Experience working within Agile development environments. 

Certifications 

Required: 

  • WCAG or Section 508 accessibility certification 

Preferred: 

  • Certified Software Tester (CSTE) 
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent 
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI ACP) 

Skills 

  • Strong analytical and testing skills with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to clearly document findings and communicate defects. 
  • Excellent collaboration skills for working with developers, designers, and architects. 
  • Ability to analyze user flows and identify usability or accessibility issues. 
  • Commitment to platform quality, accessibility compliance, and continuous improvement.
