Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Vice President, Business Operations & Growth – Federal Civilian and DoD Accounts to join our team! The Business Operations Executive is a strategic and results-driven leader responsible for directing enterprise operations, driving growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex technology programs across Federal Civilian and Department of Defense (DoD) markets. This role blends operational excellence with business leadership, overseeing program delivery, financial performance, and strategic account management for portfolios exceeding $75M annually. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of scaling operations, building high-performing teams, securing multimillion-dollar contract wins, and delivering innovative enterprise IT, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions that advance mission-critical outcomes.

 

This position is based in Reston, VA and follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site work at client locations as required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Delivery Management

  • Oversee daily operations and strategic direction for enterprise IT portfolios exceeding $75M in annual revenue.
  • Lead large-scale programs across ensuring performance excellence, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage cross-functional teams of 250+ professionals delivering solutions in application development, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Own full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for assigned portfolios.
  • Develop and track operational budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Present quarterly portfolio reviews and plans to executive leadership, aligning operational performance with corporate objectives.
  • Direct implementation of enterprise-scale IT solutions, modernization initiatives, and cybersecurity operations.

Business Growth & Strategic Development

  • Drive strategic growth initiatives across portfolio by identifying opportunities and expanding existing contracts.
  • Support a business pipeline exceeding $1B and support capture and proposal activities from opportunity identification through bid submission.
  • Lead successful recompete efforts and support pursuit of high-value bids over $25M.
  • Support pricing strategy, cost management, and business case analysis for new initiatives and contract pursuits.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior Federal stakeholders, fostering long-term relationships across clients.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop account strategies that align with customer missions and organizational goals.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all operational and delivery teams.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in operations, program management, and enterprise IT delivery.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) required; ITIL preferred.
  • Proven success managing portfolios exceeding $75M in annual revenue.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic operations, business growth, and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Deep understanding of IT modernization, cybersecurity, and cloud computing within the Federal environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client engagement capabilities.
