Overview

DecisionPoint seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to support enterprise IT program management and quality oversight for a major Department of Defense (DoD) information systems modernization effort. The Quality Assurance Specialist will drive process compliance and continuous improvement, ensuring all deliverables, milestones, and technical outputs meet established performance, quality, and contractual standards. 

 

This position is fully remote.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will: 

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management Plan (QMP), aligning program processes with ISO 9001, CMMI, and DoD quality frameworks. 
  • Conduct peer reviews, quality audits, and deliverable inspections to validate compliance with contract standards and internal policies. 
  • Develop and monitor Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) plans to identify process enhancements, performance gaps, and best practices. 
  • Manage a Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) tracking process, ensuring timely closure of findings and nonconformities. 
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define and maintain quality metrics, including defect rates, rework trends, and process performance indicators. 
  • Lead internal Quality Review Boards and provide status updates to program leadership and customer stakeholders. 
  • Review deliverables prior to submission, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with program objectives and formatting requirements. 
  • Support risk-based process assessments to enhance efficiency and standardization across all task areas. 
  • Ensure that quality assurance processes are consistently applied to all DCIPS Future deliverables supporting CMA offices, including modules related to casualty reporting, mortuary affairs, and benefits and entitlements. 

Qualifications

Clearance Requirement: 

  • Must hold an active Secret clearance. 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Quality Management, or a related discipline. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in quality management, quality assurance, or process improvement on large-scale federal or defense programs. 
  • Technical Knowledge: 
  • Demonstrated experience with Quality Management Plans (QMP) and Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) frameworks. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and document control systems. 
  • Familiarity with CMMI, ISO 9001, and ITIL quality standards. 
  • Experience conducting peer reviews, audit readiness activities, and deliverable compliance checks. 

Certifications (Preferred): 

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher. 
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent quality certification. 
  • ITIL Foundation certification. 

Skills: 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional reviews and drive process adherence. 
  • Skilled at balancing compliance rigor with practical program execution.
