Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Web Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise-level web infrastructure, deployments, and load balancing solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a wide range of web technologies and application servers, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of web-based services.

 

The position is fully remote. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain web servers, application servers, and load balancers.
  • Manage deployments across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
  • Configure and support WebSphere, WildFly, WebLogic, JBoss, and ColdFusion environments.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support Java, Python, PHP, and SQL-based applications.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to web infrastructure.
  • Maintain and optimize Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
  • Configure and manage Apache and other web servers.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed across all web platforms.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in web administration and deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of load balancer configuration and management.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Application Servers: WebSphere, WildFly, WebLogic, JBoss, ColdFusion
    • Languages & Frameworks: Java, Python, PHP
    • Databases: Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server, MySQL
    • Web Servers: Apache, IIS (optional)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Scripting experience for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Oracle, Red Hat, AWS).
