Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Chief Architect for the MODES III program supporting the Office of the DASD for MC&FP. This role will design, optimize, and secure the enterprise cloud architecture that underpins MC&FP’s high-availability, user-centered digital environment hosted in AWS GovCloud. 

The position is remote with periodic on-site support required in Alexandria, VA. A favorably adjudicated Tier 5 background investigation (Top Secret clearance) is required. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead architect for MC&FP’s AWS GovCloud environment, overseeing systems design, application development, network architecture, and storage solutions. 
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure to support all MODES III IT and digital service requirements. 
  • Implement ZTA-compliant architectures and integrate AI-based tools for predictive performance and cybersecurity management. 
  • Guide DevSecOps practices and continuous improvement for CMS, mobile apps, APIs, and database services. 
  • Ensure architecture meets DoDAF, RMF, and DISA SRG/STIG compliance. 
  • Lead architecture documentation, cloud migration roadmaps, and modernization strategies. 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • U.S. Citizen with a favorably adjudicated Tier 5 background investigation (Top Secret clearance). 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • 10+ years of experience designing complex cloud architectures within DoD or federal environments. 
  • Deep understanding of AWS GovCloud, ZTA, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity engineering. 
  • Expertise in DoD and DISA compliance frameworks and cloud security mandates. 

Desired: 

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent. 
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT for federal outreach, digital communications, or user experience initiatives.
