Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Computer Technician Principal to join our IRS Operations Service Support 10K New Hire team. The Computer Technician Principal will be responsible for more advanced tasks, including software loading, performing quality control, and troubleshooting hardware issues. This position involves handling incoming shipments, updating inventory systems, and assisting with hardware repairs. The ideal candidate will have advanced-level troubleshooting and repair skills, along with experience in inventory management and operating system installations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Load and install above-baseline software on IRS systems.
  • Perform quality control to ensure systems are properly configured.
  • Assist with preparing and packaging equipment for shipment.
  • Receive and update records of incoming equipment shipments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues, ensuring IRS systems are fully operational.
  • Update asset management and inventory systems.

Qualifications

  • Active Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Completed IRS Minimum Background Investigation or ability to clear IRS Minimum Background Investigation.
  • Advanced-level computer support skills to sanitize equipment according to IRS procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Advanced-level experience with operating system installations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with hardware repairs.
  • Knowledge of inventory management technology and database systems.
