Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking 5 Senior Testers to join the GTP-GOPAX team. Senior Testers are instrumental in ensuring the software quality of complex applications through comprehensive testing methodologies. They will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to validate that code meets functional and technical requirements. This role demands a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and DoD security protocols, providing leadership in test planning, execution, and reporting.

 

This position is onsite at Scott AFB.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive test plans and cases, ensuring full coverage for all system requirements. Leverage industry-standard testing tools and methodologies to identify defects and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and execute both automated and manual tests for web applications. Use tools like JUnit, Cucumber, Cypress, and other test frameworks to perform unit, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Ensure all software complies with DoD security standards, performing static and dynamic code analysis using tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, and Nessus.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations.
  • Work closely with Scrum teams to provide feedback on user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews to ensure test coverage is in alignment with development goals.
  • Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with developers, ensuring issues are resolved before production releases.
  • Use JIRA for issue tracking and managing testing workflows.
  • Write, maintain, and enhance automated test suites to accelerate the testing process and enable Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and other automation tools.
  • Prepare detailed test reports, documenting test case execution results, defect tracking, and issue resolutions.
  • Provide insights on quality metrics and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions with end-users, ensuring that the system meets functional requirements before production deployment.
  • Adhere to DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements for application security and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification: CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in software testing, with strong knowledge of DoD applications and security standards.
  • College Degree (Degreed Engineer, EE, CE, MBA), technical experience and appropriate certifications
  • Proficiency with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, Cypress.
  • Experience in automated test suite development and CI/CD processes.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and other collaboration and issue tracking tools.
  • Expertise in security tools like Fortify, SonarQube, Nessus, and performance testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies, AWS, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, with experience working in cross-functional Scrum teams.
  • Relevant technical certifications such as IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) are highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
