Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking a Logistics and Inventory Specialist Support to join our team in Atlanta providing On-demand operational, technical, and scientific subject matter expertise support that addresses response-related requirements enabling CDC to rapidly expand its capacity to respond to public health emergencies.

 

The Division of Emergency Operations (DEO), with support of the Office of Readiness and Response (ORR), is actively working to enhance and augment CDC’s approach to preparedness and response for Public Health Emergencies which supports the development and implementation of the CDCReady Responder Program.

 

This is 100% onsite position. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contractor shall fulfill deployment equipment requests in support of emergency response operations.
  • Perform function checks to ensure equipment readiness, issue equipment and receive returned equipment, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Ensure readiness of deployer communication equipment and assist deployers with operations to include some limited trouble shooting.
  • Ensure the proper levels of inventory are maintained in storage.
  • Support inventory protocols to ensure quantity and valuation accuracy of DEO inventory.
  • Assist with review of expiry dates of all medical equipment and supplies.
  • Adhere to controls for the ordering, receiving, and disbursing of inventory.
  • Provide assistance for dissemination of inventory to state and local regions, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree.
  • 1 year of work experience.
  • Public Trust Clearance.
  • Logistical supply room/inventory management experience required. Emergency management resource support/logistical experience preferred.
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Mail)
  • Ability to effectively communicate needs at all briefings to assist with operational strategy.
  • Ability to identify gaps in existing resources.
  • Ability to multitask in emergency situations.
  • Ability to be flexible with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Interpersonal communication: telephone, email, and business etiquette.
