Overview

DecisionPoint seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support work for the Bureau of Reclamation based in the Boise, Idaho. The Systems Administrator will provide the IT System administration for CPN’s Water Management Hydromet System.

 

This position is onsite in Boise, Idaho to begin. Remote work may be available once customer approves.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The primary objective is to provide IT System administration for CPN’s Water Management Hydromet System. This support may be accomplished via telephone, e-mail, remote desktop, walk up, or at the user’s desk. Tasks include but are not limited to, the following areas:
    • Maintain the Hydromet and Agrimet Database in collaboration
    • General Hydromet user inquiries, and beginning process for incident and problem resolution.
    • Additional tasks may include providing assistance in developing and implementing a plan for modernizing the Hydromet database.
    • Operation and maintenance of the system that includes:
      • DECODES (OpenDCS), support and other utility software.
      • Linux operating systems
      • PostgreSQL Database
      • Satellite Receive site equipment
      • Database Management Tool
      • Firewalls
      • Modernized system may include Windows operating system and Microsoft SQL Server Database
      • Supporting applications in .NET environment

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in System Administration preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain ITILv4 Foundations certification.
