DecisionPoint prides itself on delivering efficient, effective solutions across a wide range of industries. Come join our team as a VMware Administrator on the UNITED STATES TRANSPORTATION COMMAND MILITARY SURFACE DEPLOYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION COMMAND (SDDC) IT Support Services contract!


This position has an average of 80%, 4 days per week, remote work and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Install, configure, and maintain the SIPR VMware suite

· Develop solutions for the SIPR virtual server suite

· Maintain and service physical hypervisor servers

· Maintain, configure and service Dell storage solution

· Install, patch, and service the ESXI hosts

· Configure, patch, upgrade VMware vSphere

· Configure, patch, upgrade the VMware Horizon solution

· Install, configure, test and maintain Windows desktop operating system

· Respond to service outages and coordinate planned service interruptions

· Develop/maintain system configuration documentation

· Complete Security Technical Implementation Guides on VMware and Windows Desktop products

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or 7 years’ experience in related field

· Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

· DOD 8570-01M certification: IAT Level II or better (e.g., Security+CE)

· Demonstrated, hands-on technical experience with maintaining and patching VMware products

· A strong understanding of VMware technologies with a desire to learn more

· Demonstrated customer focus and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
